Monday’s bond market has opened in positive territory with little to drive trading this morning other than government shutdown news. Stocks are starting the new week calm but mixed with the Dow down 4 points and the Nasdaq up 20 points. The bond market is currently up 5/32 (2.64%), but weakness late Friday will still leave this morning’s mortgage rates slightly higher than Friday’s early pricing. If your lender did revise rates higher before closing Friday, then you may see a slight improvement this morning.
