Seal Beach

This charming "City by the Sea" is really old world California living. This wonderful city features both old and new sections and still feels like a small town. The best of California cottage living and the best of ultra modern living. It is on the ocean (with great waves) and was originally the home to a large population of Seals. You can still find a tribute to the Seals at the foot of the pier - and what a pier it is! This City was the end point of the old Electric Cars which ran from Los Angeles all the way to Seal Beach until the early part of the 60's.

The downtown or "Main Street" is a shopping center right out of times gone by with many stores owned by "mom and pop" and very few chains. Our own company Main Street Realtors gained it's name from the time we spent in our original office on Main Street.

The Naval Weapons Depot is located in Seal Beach and there is also a tract for Navy personnel and their families. This amazing small town has a large commercial center only a few miles from the beach. It is also home to Leisure World - a fabulous 55 plus gated community that has great ocean breezes, and is home to almost 10,000 residents.
